The Fox

Hi folks, have a few queries for anyone who works with this animal.
I have had a few strange encounters with the fox recently, both in the physical waking world and in others. Around my way, the foxes have been just about driven away. Years ago, one would not be surprised, when investigating why your rooster was screaming, to find a red fox with his paws in the cage. Nowadays, as the houses went up and the bush dwindled, they aren't seen much at all.
I saw one however, when I was collecting herbs for dinner, staring straight at me in the dark. I have seen a horrible amount of them dead on the sides of the road all of a sudden. There was also a red and white fox in my dreams.
Anyone ever had much to do with the fox in an animist sense? Care to share?
